ART IN THE GARDEN, 90TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
October 8, 2016, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
The Manchester Garden Club, celebrating it’s 90th anniversary this year, will hold a celebration entitled "Art in the Garden" at the Manchester History Center, 175 Pine Street on October 8th.

Starting at 10:00 am, visitors will engage with representatives from our local garden centers, visit Fairy Garden displays and help to judge our window box planter competition. In addition, Club members will be creating table settings and arrangements that link the fine art of Russell Cheney paintings to our member's floral artistry.

At 2:00 pm celebrated author Tovah Martin will speak on the subject of "Gardening with Personality". Tovah is a perennial, heirloom, vegetable and cottage gardener of fanatical proportions and also specializes in tropicals, especially begonias.

Proceeds from this event will support the Club's community work, including the maintenance of four public gardens, supporting the Manchester Children's Butterfly Garden and providing scholarships to Connecticut horticulture students.

Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for children under 10 years of age (reserve by September 15th), and include a boxed lunch. Prices for attendance only, without lunch will be $20 and $10. For information or tickets please email info@manchestergardenclubs.org.
