CHENEY HOMESTEAD HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE 2025
December, 2025
The club creates arrangements and other decorations to dress the Cheney Homestead for its annual Holiday Open House. The museum stores at the History Center and Old Manchester Museum will be open, with books on local history, copies of vintage maps, t-shirts with historic scenes of Manchester, mugs, notecards, and limited-edition ceramic tree ornaments. The open houses are free.

Visit the  Annual Connecticut Flower & Garden Show. Attend over 80 hours of seminars and demonstrations. Club members are encouraged to enter the individual horticultural competitions, as well as to participate in the creation of a club entry.

Each year, club members design and donate an arrangement interpreting one of the pieces of art in the museum. An annual three day event with floral arrangements and garden designs inspired by works of art in the collection created by community florists, garden clubs, and designers.
 

CENTENNIAL TEA PARTY
April 18, 2026
Member's Tea Party celebrating the Club's 100th anniversary. will be held at the History Center. Registration required for this special event.
 

MANCHESTER GARDEN CLUB PERENNIAL PLANT SALE
May 16, 2026 (8:30 am sharp, rain or shine )
Pentecost Worship Center Parking Lot
585 East Center Street, Manchester (by the Green)

Each spring, club members dig and pot more than 1,000 plants and shrubs to sell at this annual sale. Most plants are will be $7.00. The Plant Sale is staffed by club members, so buyers have access to the gardener who donated the plants and can hear first hand the success tips that have worked for them.

The Plant Sale starts promptly at 8:30 am, rain or shine. Nearly a thousand plants are gone by around 10:30 am! Bring cash, plastic to line your trunk and enthusiasm to try something new in your garden!
